  1. since I'm a bit out of the loop - does this mean that Mazie misses the full day thing, and that for her year, it was half day? Figures. I'm sorry. Hope she is feeling better, but she sounds just like my friend Rene's daughter. I can't remember Sami ever being so sick -even after she felt "better" a day of school kicked her butt.

Nothing exciting on the anniversary - I think we went to breakfast (I LOVE GOING TO BREAKFAST)... maybe a little shopping and later dinner at my favorite Italian place, Ferraros in Ventura. However, the day was SO exciting, that except for dinner, I could have it all wrong as I truly don't remember! Like I told you, Dennis got me the earrings (which I think he gave me the night before, as gifts burn holes in his pockets apparently)... and I got him a driver (for golf)... so that's probably what we shopped for.

Enjoy whatever you do - there are plenty more to come!

  2. YOu got it. She's been in 1/2 day this year and will do yet another 1/2 day next year and then they'll change the law when she gets to grade 1 whcih is full day. I had my babies too early. Had I waited a few years and had them in Canada, I could have had 1 year (and now maybe more) mat leave rather than the 5 weeks I got. But then again, if I waited I probably wouldn't have them at all so I'll keep my mouth shut.
