Apple Picking

It's a tradition that every fall we go apple picking. Last year it was a bit too crowded so we decided to try a new spot this year and it was just perfect. Drew said we should go even if it was raining because it always rains here so if we let that stop us, we'll never go. Plus, next weekend is Thanksgiving and after that we're afraid it would have been too cold. So, even Paige with her cold decided to go and it turned out to be a lovely day with only a light jacket needed. The spot was so cute and not crowded at all or too commercialized. We had a tractor ride, roasted weenies and corn on the cob (Paige even tried a weenie). We got a picture of it and we just knew pregnancy might turn her onto to hot dogs much like I started to eat hot wings when I was pregnant with Leo. We got a bunch of apples and I plan to make apple goody tomorrow night after our church family luncheon.

After apple picking we had to head over to the church to finish building the ping pong table that Drew had the church buy for the teens. He started building it last night so it was supposed to be a quick trip. 2 1/2 hours later we were in the car headed to dinner at 8:00. It was my birthday dinner since last night Drew had to work. We ate at 9 but it was well worth the wait because Cynthias OK Chicken and sweet and sour prawns are to die for. Not to mention the veggie fried noodles and the satay chicken. Yum! We all pigged out and now the kids are conked out in bed and I have a quiet moment to check in with you and share some pictures from our day.
